Last week we covered the css box model which is used in determining the layout and design of
content on webpage, this is done by using the box to wrap around the html element. The box
model is comprised of;
-content: this is the part of the box where the actual content like images and text are placed
-padding: this is the space or area around the content, from content and border
-border: space around the content and padding, from padding to margin
-margin: space around the border, from the border to the edges of the page
It was hard for me to differentiate between the above aspects and I did not know how to apply
them for designing content layout.
In order to understand the box model, I did some more reading and coding exercises using the
w3schools.com platform. After carrying out a number of exercises, now I understand the css box
model and I can use to design content layout on a web page.
